The project involves:
- Constructing a new 1.9 km wastewater pipeline.
- Diverting four local catchments away from the existing wastewater pipe.
- Decommissioning sections of the old line.
Upon completion, this upgrade will reduce wastewater overflows into Kaipatiki Creek and enhance maintenance access in case of future failures. Recently, the team installed a 2 km main along Kaipatiki Road, overcoming flood damage with a stormwater pipe replacement and a retaining wall for Auckland Council. The mainline passed its pressure test on March 21st.
