A fantastic win for Project Engineer Nic Ganly in the CCNZ Waikato Branch Hynds Construction Awards 2023!

We are pleased to announce that Nic Ganly, Project Engineer, has been named as Engineer of the Year at the recent CCNZ Waikato Hynds Construction Awards 2023. Nic is an exemplary member of our team. He's a passionate advocate for integrity, sustainability, and excellence in everything he does. Beyond his impressive professional accomplishments, Nic is a committed mentor and an active contributor to the industry, representing our company at career fairs and inspiring future engineers.

With a Master's degree in Engineering Project Management, Nic's academic achievements reflect his discipline and perseverance. His thesis on the impact of trust between a client and contractor laid the foundation for his successful role as a Contractor's Representative on the Snells Rising Main & PS project. As a leader, Nic's responsibilities have included financial management, team leadership, quality control, and client relationships, all contributing to the delivery of broader community goals.

Nic's career has been marked by highly successful projects such as the Peacocke Wastewater Rising Main, a CCNZ award-winning initiative. He played a pivotal role in the construction of the City Rail Link C1, managing a large team and overseeing complex tasks, including lifting the Britomart Train Station, a heritage-listed building, onto its new foundations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Nic is actively involved in industry activities, including representing his company at career fairs and inspiring future engineers at universities. His passion for engineering is palpable and his dedication to inspiring others in the field is evident.

Nic's commitment to health, safety, and well-being is noteworthy. His efforts to increase H&S reporting on-site, accompanied by regular toolbox talks, have created a safer work environment and set a high standard.

Congratulations, Nic Ganly, and thank you for representing CB Civil with excellence and integrity.
