WHO WE ARE?
CB Civil was established in 2012 and has steadily developed to become one of the fastest growing contractors in New Zealand. We deliver services which include earthworks, civil and commercial drainlaying (to any depth), site works, roading and construction of retaining walls, foundations and concrete/Steel structures. We currently employ more than 50 permanent staff across Canterbury and Auckland.
Our team have broad experience across all Civil Engineering disciplines. Employing Civil Engineers we have a high level of technical and design understanding. This expertise, combined with the ‘in- the-trench’ practical experience that our people bring to the job, ensures that practical solutions are found and delivered.
All of our staff are fully qualified for the jobs they do and work to ensure our projects are delivered safely, to programme and budget. Our impeccable health and safety record and collaborative approach to all projects is a testament to our capability.

JAMIE CAMPBELL
Regional Manager North
Alongside Matt Bloy, Jamie established CB Civil over 5 years ago. Starting his career as an Engineer Cadet for Downer NZ, Jamie quickly progressed his development as an Engineer both with Downer and McConnell Dowell; working on such projects as the Manukau SH20:1 Motorway, SCIRT rebuild, and Waitaki Bridges/Dam projects to name a few.
Jamie is passionate about being involved in projects from tender through to delivery. He prides himself on procuring the right resources to deliver even the most complex of projects. Jamie believes in collaboration between all stakeholders is the key to a successful project.
SAM ANANIA
Regional Manager South
Sam joined CB Civil and Drainage in June 2016 as an experienced Civil Engineering professional. He brings extensive technical and practical experience to the team. Sam takes the lead to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget. A highly competent engineering professional, Sam has over 10 years’ experience on a wide-range of complex civil infrastructure projects for major civil contractors McConnell Dowell & Transfield, as well as consultants BECA.
His passion for health and safety, environment and quality management drives a strong team culture of outstanding performance within CB Civil’s teams. Sam works closely with each client making sure he absolutely understands what’s expected and delivers to this every time.
